Asking for friend who doesn’t want to post - looking for yard for one horse.

From past experience, full livery means different services from one yard to next ie including exercise, no exercise etc
Also if exercise incl, no. of days differ from 3-5 days.

She’s looking for the most cost effective yard with good reviews.
Websites don’t list any prices so any examples of full livery costs for yards in Berkshire (or N Hampshire/ south Oxfordshire) appreciated. Plus good/ bad points ? It will save her wasting any time in enquiring at a non-viable yard.
Thank you

Cane End show prices - £160 per week for what they call part livery - no exercise.
Fairoak Grange prices start at £1,000 per month.
Heathlands is £105 per week.
Cow City starts at £560 per month

Loads of places now call what I would class part livery as full livery!

We paid £550 a month for proper full livery 20yrs ago in Berkshire ? so I can believe its double that now x

Terminology varies a bit but in those areas (having previously lived there and had a horse at cane end, super yard btw)

7 day livery excluding exercise was in the region of £120-150 and including riding £180-250 per week.

Those were prices from 7 years ago so you can expect them dearer. And I exclude pricing from unsafe/corner cutting yards in the above.

Farley Hall is £1275 pm for full care or £1475 including exercise. All prices and details on their website. Compared to the cost of care homes, not nursing homes, livery is cheap.

I’m more bucks/Herts way but in the area the range is around £750 to over 1k a month dep on the livery package and yard. Full livery tends to be everything exc exercise with minor variations as to what’s inc and what gets charged as extra.

The sad thing is many of these SE yards have such high running costs, and raw materials costs, and land costs, and labour costs they are struggling to turn any profit despite the high livery charges!

Very expensive for the proper all inculusive deal thats for sure!! However as you said there are many 'full livery' options. Be looking at £550 plus for day to day care done in this area with a stable, school and some turn out. Everything else keep adding more £££ to that.
