So Bert has been out of training for about 20 weeks now. He is coming on in leaps and bounds and I am really pleased with his attitude. He is still developing his top line but with the help of training, long reining and regular check ups he has transformed beyond belief in such a short space of time.
I have him advertised for sale but if he doesn't go then the aim is for him to do a BE event within the next couple of months.

not big as I was in a dressage saddle!

There are a few more on there of him jumping.

And Bert having a canter in the field. Excuse the commentary! I was apparently to far away!

what do you think? Potential event horse?

He was trained on the flat, I don;t think he actually raced, something to do with his canter being too uphill I would think!! He hunted with the Limerick in Ireland for a season. He seems very bold with his jumping so think he might have done the basics. and yes, he is for sale as he isn't going to be quite substantial enough for my long legged husband!
We have taken him to his first ever dressage where he gained justed under 66% and beat our BE novice event horse( he hung his head in shame!)

He is just lovely !!! So many people shy away from ex racers for them being dizzy and fizzy but he looks so balanced and trusting

Well done you _ i think you are doing the best thing by him by getting him out and doing stuff with him , it will help others see his appeal

Wow he looks absolutely fantastic. I used to have an ex racehorse on loan and know how hard it can be to get them to work properly (although she still always went round looking like a giraffe no matter how hard i tried). Looks like you've had no bother with him, well done, he's credit to you.
