Going to try tails.com

My labxcollie has had a scope and her intestines were inflamed so we are thinking ibd as the cause if her symptoms. Just waiting on the biopsy results to confirm.

At the moment she is having cooked chicken, sweet potato, peas, carrots and broccoli and it doesn't seem to be too bad on.her stomach.

Every time we try a wet food or kibble that's supposed to be hypoallergenic and good for gi problems it makes her worse

Problem with what she is on now is.she is loosing weight so I need to find a way to stop that.

Any suggestions? She can't go on raw as it makes her tummy worse.

This company had a free offer so I tried it but discontinued with it as they were pooing a lot. It contains maize which dogs cant digest, the meat trays were nice but not as satisfying as Forthglade. Its pricey too so would be looking elsewhere.

I have put my young lab on millies as she has a lot of ear problems. She is a lot less itchy overall I would say, but it is expensive and I am having to feed half as much again as Skinners to stop her looknig like a hat rack. On the whole I am pleased with it and they are very helpful if you ring them.

I put both of my whippets on it a few months ago and they absolutely loved it. Although I was very careful and kept to their guidelines of how much to feed I found I was going through 5 -6 poo bags on a morning walk!!! Small amount of food = large amount of poo! Go figure?!

I found it very reasonable with price as I feed mine Burns.

If she's doing well from a homemade grain free food I wouldn't be looking at one with grain it. Have you looked on the all about dog food website?

I've got some discount codes for tails if anyone wants it, think its a £1 for two weeks worth. Boots seems to like it and is doing well but he seems to now think breakfast is at 5am now

I just went through to see what they'd offer me and it's really expensive for what it is!

I told them I feed my boy Eden which works out at 75p a day for my eldest and is 80% meat, 20% veg (no grains). Tails offered me a recipe of 38% meat the rest veg for £1 a day! If I was to buy a similar % meat elsewhere (even wainwrights grain free has a better meat %) it would work out a lot cheaper.

Can you not just continue to make your own? Then you can be sure what is in it and try new ingredients very carefully. I friend of mine bulk cooks their dog food, mince, veg and rice, in the slow cooker then freezes it in jars big enough for 2-3 days, then just uses it from the fridge each day.
Failing that or for emergencies have you tried Applaws or Encore tins? Wouldn't be cheap for a dog that size but might be handy to keep on standby.

Yes I have but they still suggest food that has the stuff she can't eat.

It's the fact she is loosing weight on it that I'm looking at others.
