ok we are looking into the possibility of getting a 3.5t lorry to replace our trailer.
We need something which is safe and reliable that can ideally take 2x 15hh horses as well as us :P not completely necessary.
Lots of people say equi-trek but they seem so expensive. is there another brand just as good for cheaper?

Thanks :)

Am very happy with my box, coach built to order last year, on 05 chassis, for less than 10k. Imagine prices probably more now, but my box is great. It only has bench seats in the back, as I don't need living, obviously living would add to your payload, mine is just 900kg. But, as I only travel one horse, and safety in the build is a prioroty, I have no hesitation in recommending Chris Williams who built my box. Here is a link to his website, my box is the white one(now painted yellow and purple!! I think Chris didn't want a yellow box on his website:eek:)

I've spent a lot of the year looking round boxes at shows and I have to say I do not think the build-quality on equi-treks is all it could be. Put it this way, I got the chance to have a bespoke 7.5t lorry built this year and they didn't even make the shortlist.

I would shop about a bit more personally - yes their boxes have a super payload, but the finish is not great for the money in my opinion.

I have a new equi trek and love it. I prefered this to the marlborough as it has side gates. I think they are well made and you have the choice of different sizes.

However, the payload is not great, so not good for two horses, I just take the one or two small ponies.
