Best advert for a saddle ever.....

See, I'd almost believe that until I looked at the photos. The guy has a new conservatory, neat decking and a rather smart reed sofa. Hum.... looks loaded to me!! ;-)

I liked the 'utter b@stard machine' turbo trainer, and the wetsuit ones better, but its not bad :D

This gets a 6/10 for the "short-walk-from-the-stable-to the-field-rugs" line alone :D

Yes, no doubt all the trappings of wealth are from the dim and distant past... :p
 
bearing in mind I have just had to buy two "new" saddles (funded by 2 rounds of "cash in the attic" e-bay selling!) I didn't dare show this one to the OH!.

Two years ago my wife got a horse. Then last year my daughter got a pony. And now of course, I am completely destitute. Skint. Totally penniless. I have not eaten in days, and holidays and clothes are a distant reminder. I am considering turning to crime to fund it all, but in all reality, I know that will probably not even cover it. Boy do these things consume money! My salary is now paid directly to our local Equestrian Centre - the whole lot is usually gone within 3 days of payday. My bank statements are littered with strange words like "numnaa's", "turn-out rugs", "stable rugs","cooler rugs", "short-walk-from-the-stable-to the-field-rugs". And it's such a hoot when the little darling chew the rugs to pieces so need new ones almost every month........

So then my daughter needed a new saddle and this has just been purchased. Fortunately I got the biggest bonus I've ever received at work and this funded "most" of the new saddle purchase.

So therefore her old, perfectly reasonable saddle is up for sale. It's pretty much in excellent condition, save for a little "leg wear" - therefore you are bidding for a used GFS 16 inch Wide Fit leather saddle in black. It's in excellent condition with only the usual wear on the flaps and straps. There's a tiny scuff on the seat but this is barely noticeable and only in the right light and I couldn't get it to come out in the photos.The distance from D-Ring to D-Ring is 10 inches.

PLEASE PLEASE bid for this item - it's my only chance to recoup a tiny percentage of the relentless outlay of cash needed to keep my wifes and daughters "hobby" going. I'm not asking for a lot, just the opportunity to flash some cash at Primark and maybe even treat myself to a KFC, like the olden days.

I can guarantee that every penny of the proceeds will go to me, so you don't need to worry about a percentage being farmed off somewhere. Please give generously.

We prefer buyer to collect due to size and weight, but will post if necessary. If anyone wants to look at the saddle during the auction, please contact us to arrange a viewing.

Brilliant ad! I loved the wetsuit one, best ever IMHO, some of the questions and replies were hilarious :D
