So I’m already registered with Bidwells/Savills but wondering who else I can register with?
Everytime I see somewhere it’s already sold or under offer before my e-mail or calls are seen.

Im after 6+ acres Hertfordshire/Buckinghamshire/Bedfordshire. Any help appreciated ?

If you're a buyer then some of the local agents are great and can have gems at sensible prices. In my part of West Yorkshire David Hill have great stuff that doesn't get widely marketed as 'equestrian' even though they clearly are. Maybe have a call round local big residential agents and see who they'd go to for farms.

If you're a seller then the big national specialist equestrian brands as above. I think Graham at Rural and Equestrian retired - he was good, maybe someone took it over.
Fine and Country are national too

Thank you. Yes I’m looking to buy. Current place is now being developed so would like to have some security and get my own place. I’m also registered with UK land and farms and now have another few agents to contact tomorrow.
Land often seems to get sold before advertised as well. Wondered if it’s considered rude to approach a few farmers directly as well?

Google! ?
I'm sure you are anyway, but I registered with any and every agent going, and all the search parameters on Rightmove and Prime Location etc., phoned around estate agents regularly so they didn't forget me (made a total nuisance of myself no doubt), but it was Googling "house for sale acres" and the names of the counties I was prepared to live in that brought up the listing for where we are now. Had never heard of the estate agent and they did say it was a very unusual property for them and not their normal remit.

Should have included that as neither sellers nor estate agents were horsey, the listing wasn't on Rural Scene or Horse and Hound etc. H&H usually have some very nice properties if you have a very healthy budget!!

The trouble is developers buying up everything! Greenbelt stands for nothing anymore either. I don’t mind paying for the right place, I just need to put myself about more. Oooo be like my twenties ?

Approach farmers, but be prepared for some brusque responses.

Find yourself a land agent. They'll get to hear about land that farmers might be thinking of selling. Be prepared to be asked what you'd pay for a particular plot rather than being given a price. Bear in mind fencing costs. Check and double check access from the highway.
