Looking for recommendations on decent breeches - I bought a couple of pairs of Pikeur breeches probably at least 5 years ago, and they've both given up the ghost after a hard life! I can't remember what model they are. Just looking at replacing them, and Pikeur are so expensive - wondering if I should bite the bullet and get more, or are there any similar sorts that are maybe slightly cheaper? Don't really want to spend more than £100 or thereabouts.
I like full seat breeches, I'm tall and slim and also like fairly high waisted!

I have Cavallo & Eurostar which I would say are around Pikeur quality but slightly more affordable. Eurostar seems to be out of favour at the minute too so I've picked up some good bargains.

On the cheaper side I really rate my PE breeches but the sizes are all over the place.

Re your title, I would expect any pair of breeches to go all the way round?

Even my £14 ebay cotton lycra specials (which I totally recommend) do that :)

I have come to the conclusion where breeches are concerned, that once you find a brand and style that suits you stick with it. If they have lasted that long then the Pikeur are worth the extra money. I cannot tell you how many times I have been disappointed with trying different brands and I end up not liking them, they stay in the cupboard as I continue to wear the one or two pairs that fit and are comfortable. If they are not right you won't be comfortable. I now stick with Kingsland for summer and autumn and Kerrits fleece for winter.

I think finding breeches that fit and are comfortable is the most important thing. I've got several pairs of Ariat Olympia full seat breeches, high waisted and they suit me fine and have worn really well. All of them were bought reduced. I've also got Dublin riding tights, the warm it and cool it ones (I think thats what they are called) and they fit me well and do what it says on the tin.

I agree once you find a brand I h e a pair of flexors and they are ok. Starting to loose their stretch and are going a bit baggy. Although have worn them alot.

My favourite are musto snugs. Expensive but worth every penny to me. So they are my go to ones I buy when I can afford to.

Another vote for ariat Olympia - good fit - flatten tummy (I have 2 kids) and fit well ... don’t like other ariat breeches but the Olympias are great

Eileen Douglas are excellent - great value and work hard. I think my last pair did 3/4 years of riding a lot of horses.
I now have another two pairs and doing a good job and look nice. I actually prefer them to my Dainese and my Pikeur.
