My fatty is on a diet and not allowed hard feed, he's only getting a small handful of unmollassed slim chaff

Can someone recommend to me the best supplement/balancer/mineral lick (so confused) to ensure he is getting the correct vitamins & minerals required :)

Personally I'd feed a low calorie balancer like Top Spec Anti Lam, Baileys Lo Cal or Dodson & Horrell Equibites. Then you absolutely know he is getting all the right vitamins and minerals in the correct amounts. With a lick you don't have all those assurances as you don't know how little or how much he will use it etc.

I'm a big Feedmark fan. Not the cheapest in the world but excellent products, next day free delivery and fantastic customer service. I have used their Benevit Advance but don't anymore as the boys are on 'proper' feeds so don't need a general supplement. But I'd certainly recommend it, I used it for a couple of years when they were on good grazing and only getting a small amount of hard feed.

Also a big fan of feedmark =) I like their products and feel they actually take effect unlike others I have previously used.

Everything I've used from them has done what it says on the tin but for me its the customer service. I've pestered and questioned them and they always give me useful and helpful answers, they are quick to offer samples and follow up to check the products are working. You can't put a price on that now a days with the appauling service some places offer. I'm always loyal to a company that looks after it's customers. (And no I don't work there..wish I did cos would save me a fortune!! Lol!!)

Mine are on Pink Powder which is brilliant stuff, have used Equivite in the past which has always kept them looking well and getting their Vits/mins, another good one is Equine America Top Form pellets, which is very economical.

The Original “Vit-Min” Cod Liver Oil Condiment by ARGO.

''Specially formulated blend of Cod Liver Oil contains Seaweed, Spices, Minerals and Herbs to promotes healthy bone growth, bright eyes, shiny coats and general well being both internally and externally.''

After a few weeks you'll see the difference, not only does it make them feel good, they look fantastic on it as well and just to top it off, it's only around £7 a tub..bonus!
