Best alround wormer?

I have just taken on a new field, been rested for 2 months, previously had 2 horses on that weren't cared for properly, im a bit worried the field will be wormy, but desperate for the grazing so they got to go in there, so looking for a wormer that will do everything x

Did you clear the field of dung, or harrow it in good sunny conditions before putting the horses in ? both should help clear the field up.
If you did, id just have a worm count done as normal.

I would do an egg count before, and another after a couple of months, to check. I don't like just shoving wormer down their necks, we are getting too much in the area of resistant parasites. If the egg count comes back with positive levels, give an ivermectin based one (fairly inexpensive) for now and check again in 4 months (if they are on it that long) I presume you do a Pramox type one for tapes and encysted worms after the first frost of winter anyway?

The fields have been clear of dung, not harrowed tho, been ragwork pulling for the last 2 weekends, fields all clear of that now, planning to put them in on the first of aug, i'll have to do a worm count after they been in there 6 weeks x
