My horse's dressage and jumping saddles both slip forwards, saddler has adjusted multi times but says it is the horse's conformation rather than the fit which is the basic problem - flat back, powerful back end, well sprung ribs, forward girth groove, high and well set back shoulder. He suggests trying non slip pads and curved/anatomic girths. Any thoughts on what's worked best for you, especially girths? With the girths it's not so much elbow room I'm looking for, but dealing with the slipping forwards problem. Does anyone have a 26" 'Torsion Moon' girth they would sell? Cheers.

Prolite non slip pad all the way. Brilliant thing, stopped my saddle slipping over the right shoulder. Can't help re: the girth except to say I'll be watching this thread with interest.

Ive found that the Passier anatomical dressage girth works well on my ID who sounds a similar shaped to your horse.

In a GP saddle I find the wide Stubben cord girth works well.
