Wonder if anyone has any advice. Have a a friend whose horse is on a no starch diet but he is struggling to find a balancer to give full spectrum vits/minerals with no cereals or cereal derivatives. The horse is in full work and competes every weekend so needs to be on top form.
Anyone got any ideas? All suggestions gratefully received.

Topspec and Baileys lo cal are both I believe starch free - I questioned them thoroughly regarding this looking for a balancer for my boy with PSSM.

I always prefer a balancer to powder supp as you know you are providing a quality source of protein. If you feed a lot of hard feed that doesn't matter so much, but otherwise balancer all the way.

Does it have to be a balancer? My mare is on pretty much a starch free diet, I add a powdered vit / min to her feed. Something like NAF Pink Powder (but this made her belly make all sorts of funny noises!) or NAF general supplement

How about Winergy Equilibrium Balancer? Their products are all fibre based. They don't post a list of ingredients on their website but will happily tell you if you ring them.
