Best bed for old working dogs?

I’m looking for a big floor bed, pillow/rectangle type affair.
OH’s old dog (about 10?) started sleeping on the step so I’ve been letting her in and she’s been sleeping on the boot room sofa, but she’s struggling getting off in the mornings now.

I’m very glad she will stay in, the other dogs sleep in a heap in a big box of straw, including one 14 year old who really panics in the house for longer than half an hour, or I’d love to have her in too!

Anyway please give me your big supportive bed recommendations - thank you!

ETA - ideally looking for a bed that could fit 1-2 sheepdogs on, with no sides. And still soft and squishy on top.
 
Some time ago now we bought a memory foam pad (think it might have been an off cut - so cheap) from eBay. We also bought separately a large cover and then trimmed the foam to fit. Think the whole bed cost us about £20 and is still going strong many years later. The foam is about 3 or 4 inches thick and two dogs have had use over the years and seem to like it, especially into their older years.

I have replaced all the cushions in the normal bed with thick memory foam. Works really well.
She even has a roll up version for when she goes to the pub.

I bought a metre or so of Pet bed fleece as an extra layer for her upstairs bed when it is really cold.
 
Old pillows stuffed into a duvet cover. Just tuck edges under. Pillows can be sewn together for more permanence. Or single duvet worked for my spaniel. Lurcher is in our bed!!!
 
Our kennel dogs have raised beds with the extra fleece slip on covers. The dogs like them, and we like them because they don’t hold moisture like normal kapok type beds. My lurcher has a variety of beds (of course!), I’d say the memory foam one is actually his least favourite, he prefers a round nest but that’s not so great for an old stiff dog.
 
When our remaining Rottweiler had bladder cancer and we were trying to keep her comfortable as long as possible we bought a memory foam mattress dog bed from Wayfair. It regularly fits at least 2 Labs on it now.

look at K9 beds... deep memory foam and can be sofa / bolster end or plain. My 2 gsd's love them so i've bought 4. good quality with removable covers and prompt servise.

That’s what I’ve got but mine would not lie on it. They are very hard. But a normal bed on top is ok
 
Maz has a leather 2 seater sofa with a duvet on top, she doesn't like vet bed and throws it out of the way.
Reeva currently has 2 day old pups and she too does not like vet bed and digs at it till it is out of the way.

I bought this as orthopaedic but there are cheaper ones!
 
Mine has a cot mattress with a sheepskin rug over it- it’s firm enough for support so old legs don’t get bogged down in squishy bed but comfy for support.
 
I just buy thick memory foam off Amazon, cut to size and top with vetbed. The dogs love it. Wouldn’t work with a bed destroyer but otherwise perfect
