Hi, on our yard we have just started to use a new product called Equucel, it is a paper pellet bound together with moisture (apparently). Being launched at HOYS this year were told. So far so good, we have a couple of horses that have allergys and COPD and their has been no reaction. Some people use mats others don't and it works well on both. Just stays in place, we have found that their is no smell which is great as we have a 3 yr old stallion with very strong urine, he started to eat it thinking it was pony nuts but spat it out. Really easy to clean, cut the time in half and hardly remove any bedding when cleaning out. I think it lasts 2-4 times longer than hemp, depending on how messy your horse is. One of our helpers has hayfever and she is over the moon withit, no reaction to her either. Seems great so far and good price as it lasts so long. Also our muck heap is smaller now which is a good thing.

Hi, I went over to shredded egg boxes months ago and wouldn't change back to any other bedding for my 3 horses. I have got rubber mats and the egg boxes are like blotting paper. Absolutely superb. No waste and they rot down well. I pay £3 - £3.50 a bale and get them Harbour Bedding in Rye, East Sussex. 01797 223105 www.harbourbedding.co.uk
