I maybe changing to a yard where we buy in our own bedding, instead of having to buy from the yard owners stocks

I need something quick and economical that will work with rubber matting, he's currently on handy bed which is £5.80 a bale.

There are so many on the market i'm totally at a loss to which is best

Any suggestions?

I have always used paper bedding (at about £4 a bale) which I absolutely love but can't get hold of it anymore. I've just ordered a load of Ecobed (chopped cardboard) so hoping it will be as good (although much more expensive).

Does the yard have any restrictions on what you can use?

Lucky you being able to choose. I would go for Aubiose, twice the price as current bedding but you use so little once bed established and mucking out is SOOOO much quicker!!! and it rots down v quick so YO would be happy.

Hemcore - absolutely fabulous with rubber mats. Very absorbant and a doddle to muck out - only take droppings out for three days then wet patch on the fourth - very little bedding used.
