Best Bit for a youngster

Looking for recommendations for a bit to start bitting my youngster! I’m not in no rush as he’s only turning 2 this time,just want to get everything ready

So much of it depends on the anatomy of his mouth. What sort of size is his tongue? His lips? What shape is his palate?

I'd highly recommend getting a bit fitting specialist out who can assess his mouth and tongue and advise. Had great results when I used one - they were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful.

While I'd agree, my boy complained about anything the specialist recommended but was instantly happy in something he shouldn't have been - the benefit of the specialist was she had lots for us to try until we found the curveball!

Mullen mouth hanging cheek snaffle - he leaned like billy-oh in everything else so we really didn't want a fixed mouth piece but the second he wore it the leaning stopped!

Sorry should have said - it wasn't a first bit, he was 9 when I got him but wouldn't accept any of the more usual bits.
