Daughty has a lovely fell, he came in a wilkie, I took him out of that as when I was schooling him he just took a hold and it was like riding a concrete block, swopped him into a loose ring team up bit which is on the whole much better, can feel his mouth but his way of evading work is to powertrot and he still takes a hold.
Also out hacking, generally he is fine but can be strong if not in front or on way home, not going out of chosen pace but power walk/trot so daughter (or me ) has to haul on his mouth, which obv she hates doing, and he will yaw to evade.
she is very nervous and although has good hands in so far as they are independant of her seat, tends to ride with a shorter contact than me, so I dont want anything too strong.
Was thinking of a mullen mouth pelham, maybe two reins with one knotted on neck just to give an extra brake when needed? just to avoid hanging on to his mouth really
All suggestions welcomed
