My horse is an ISH, and can get a very thick coat. The seem to be the best buy in my price range. My Wahl Avalon is ancient and not fully charging, but fine for face etc. They come with an A2... the Phoenix.

I use the A2 Medium on my COB x TB with a very thick coat and he's Skewbald so if I use the fine blades he goes pink.

A2 will suit most horses. I would generally only use a fine blade on a very thin coat or once a thick coat is clipped with A2 blades and then clipping frequently. Fine blades can leave a terrible finish if they're battling a thick coat!!

Liverman Phoenix on the way today. I am so excited to get this horse finished. He looks like I clipped him with a knife and fork.
