I did ask everyones opionon on here a few months back on body protecotrs and so I went to burghley and thought ill window shop and see what I come across, try them on and see how they feel,
Well I tried on one of the race safe style ones and didnt feel very safe in it,where id be to worried to fall of.

then came across the Kan Body Protecter and I love it, When i picked it up it felt heavy but when wearing it you didnt even know it was there. I could move freely and it was comfy.
The lady on the H&H stall where I tried this on explained the matter used to make it and demonstrated how tough it was and made me put in on my leg and bang with a hammer and no mark was left and I couldnt feel it as much as I did with a standard BP material.

Over all Id suggest one of these BP to anyone, they are a little dear to standard BPs but its worth it if its going to stop you breaking. Also I felt as if I could tackle anything in this and no be afraid should I fall off.

This is complety pointless I guess but I saw a post about BP's further down and thought I could offer my thoughts to anyone interested.
I loved and will be my xmas present to myself.

They are for ladies only if I am not mistaken? Our YO just got one having always hated wearing BP's she love the new one!

As someone with not much in the chest department I'll stick with my Rodney Powell, I've had some bracking falls in these body protectors and never felt they wear unperforming in the armour department, then again no one has ever hit me with a hammer while wearing it

i came off my 4yr old the other day on the lunge while wearing my Kan, no idea what she did but i got ejected big-time from very high up and although i tucked and rolled i hit the ground very hard, enough to feel jelly-like in tummy and pelvis area when i got up (that's a first.) i wasn't hurt at all but fully expected to stiffen up big-time the next day, was amazed when i didn't at all. that hardening-on-impact smart foam really does make a huge difference.
i think it's the best bp on the market by far, excepting only the Exo which is more specialised and not everyone's cup of tea...

I'm nearly buying one at the moment - torn between it and race safe but going more to the side of kan at moment and have been in touch with them. I have a broken pelvis at moment (didn't have my normal bp on!) and none of the bp's seems to cover near where i'm hurt - landed on hip. Do you find it covers towards hip area more than other types tried?

Well I was like you origionally I was going to go with a Race safe ot a Rodeney powell and when I tried them on I didnt feel secure as you feel you should. Then I tried on the Kan and was plesently surpised. I felt as if I could ride Burghley and not be worried about falling off.
I obviously didnt cover the hips beacuse if it did you wouldnt bend but it certainly covered my lower back nicely and its so easy to move in. I would strongly suggest one. Am getting mine soon
