Okay, i hate body protectors with a passion and never wear one, there soooo uncomfy, and restricting. but i had a BAD fall and now i want to get one, but a decent one, a one which i can actually move in. Any recommendations?

ive got a reiver elite by airowear, it's not 'it's so good you forget you're wearing it' but you can easily move etc. i don't wear it a lot though.

I recently got an Airowear Outlyne. It has to be fitted very snugly, and the first couple of times I wore it, in the school, I hated it, very nearly took it back. Then horsey tried to dump me while I was wearing it, and suddenly I became quite fond of it! It does, as the girl in RObinsons said it would, mould itself to your shape as it warms up, and becomes a bit more flexible. I would now say that after 15 minutes or so, I do forget I'm wearing it. Thoroughly recommend it.

Another one for the airowear outlyne, it does go to your shape, and after a while of having it it will stay your shape. I find it very comfy and you can almost forget it's there :D

I recommend the Racesafe RS2000, it zips at the front but you adjust it at the side, corset fashion. I love it and can forget I am wearing it. It moulds to your body and is just great. Much better than the last BP I had which was just awful and I hated wearing!!

Racesafe RS2000 is easily the most comfortable, it is made of lots of seperate sections so is very flexible and adjustable at the sides so can fit it perfectly to your shape. I do occasionally have my doubts as to weather it is as safe as others due to the sections but it is allowed at the highest levels of eventing so must be fine :) After years of hating my body protector I now forget I am wearing it.

imho the Kan is the best of the lot unless you're prepared to try an Exo. the Kan's foam was developed for the motorbike racing industry and is hugely superior to the foam in normal bps. it doesn't go obsolete in 3-5 yrs, it hardens on impact and then relaxes again (not damaged by 1 significant impact like the traditional foam in other bps). they are moulded to the body and extremely comfy.

I also have a Rodney Powell one, it takes around 10mins ish for it to go flexible, but it is really flexible when you've had it on for a little while and i also sometimes forget it's there :D
Most of them are now, but get a safety Level 3 one, as they are the best *i think* ones for protection :)

I have a Rodney Powell, which I hate, but I do tend to forget about it when I'm concentrating on the horse :D.

Daughter has an Exo. Lovely people at Woof Wear :D :D

Looking at getting the Point 2 for both of us, but you still have to wear a normal BP underneath.

I hate back protectors. I used to have a Jack Ellis (same stuff as police vests), which was like a wooden plank accross you body.

Now have a Racesafe, and forget I'm wearing it. I don't feel it restricts any movementm or anything, I've even gone as far as buying SHoulder Pads for it too. I am very impressed with it. :)

well looking at all these fab recommendations i think the outlyne or the racesafe may have won my vote. most likely the racesafe due to it not being one big solid thing XD. they are also at an affordable price. i worry about paying alot for a body protector for it to turn out to be no good. has anyone fell off while wearing a racesafe or outlyne? did it make alot of difference, thanks for the recommendations guys!
