best body protector?

Definatly need to buy a body protector after Katies antics yesterday (good job she's so cute!) but I've never bought on before I have no idea what I should be looking for and I can't wait for next months H&R mag for their reccommendations. Can anyone give some geneal advice on brands and/or styles?
