Hi I am introducing a new horse to the herd at the moment. I need recommendations for the best boots to
1. Protect the horse’s legs from himself being silly and galloping about

2. From being kicked by another horse.
I would appreciate recommendations
Of which type of boot and also which makes are sturdy and stay on
Thanks.

For number one I would just use a cheap pair of brushing boots. They tend not to last that long as the Velcro gets muddy and then comes undone and gets even muddier. If you are worried about soft tissue injuries then you could use support boots like the ones from le mieux. For number two kicks are rarely that low down, and although they may protect the skin they won’t help with the force of the kick so I don’t think boots will really help.
