Oops meant best CAR!!! Im thinking of selling my horsebox, i love it but cant justify the expense anymore. I KNOW cars shouldnt be used to tow trailers but i was thinking of getting an estate or something similar.

Can anyone recommend a car to use?? Please bear in mind that i will be getting a new trailer BUT my pony only weighs 100kg. I do not have tack or lots of feed to carry either!

Mid to large estate would be fine.. mondeo, pasat c or e class mercedes, volvo v70, subaru legacy ...

You could put him in an old post office van!!!

I'd probably look at a Skoda Scout - it is the 4x4 version of the octavia, really good fuel economy and all VW/Audi engineering, just a cheaper badge on the bonnet :D

I have 4 cats and they tow really well, they are always in 4 wheel drive and I dont have any problem at all getting out of muddy fields, they are4 a little slow on steep hills, but hell they only get whiskers. Well you asked for it. lol.

I personally think a big tom cat!!! He would also strut!!!!
HAHA

Im not very good on this subjet. However i used to work at a horse-pital! We had a nini shetland come in and they had a (i maybe wrong on make/type) kangoo? It was smaller than a transit van they also had a ramp like what you can get for your car for old dogs to get in the boot for him to walk up. Had a piece of rubber matting on the floor and a little wooden box to the side and attached somehow to put any tack etc into. I hope this makes sense

To be honest, loads of cars will tow him. You only need a diddy trailer- if you wanted something really lightweight, you could go for a cheval liberte single? Only weigh less than 655kg- hell you could probably tow with a smart car :p

I know that our audi estate and vw touran both have towing weights of 1500kg, so you would be well under this.
