Best cheap Yard boots for winter?

Hiya,

I have the Mark Todd Cook boots. They are super warm and very comfy. The sizing is quite small and the legs are quite narrow so best to size up and go for the wide fitting. I paid 70 for mine but you might get them cheaper as I saw some advertised just not in my freakishly large size :)

If you mean cheap cheap I've just bought some of these and they are surprisingly ok, the fake fur stuff is a bit cheap looking but it goes right down to the toes and they are very comfy

I dont think they'll last forever but at that price I'd be happy to get a good winter out of them

I bought them as my lovely Muck Boots dont grip very well in the snow

I've just bought the Horze thermo tall boots from Derby House. They do a short version too. They are fairly ugly but really warm and waterproof. I wear them for work and so far so good!

J&C that's interesting to hear, as I was thinking of buying some on that exact basis - that they are ugly but warm! So it's good to know that is really what they are. How did you find the sizing worked out?

love love love my muck boots - just the best things in the world ever!!!! I have the tyne sport and the tay sport. Different boots have different treads, so worth having a good look at the different types to see what would work for you. They are pricey for ugly wellies, but my goodness they are ace!

I recommend snow boots, they are very warm, waterproof, good grip, mega comfy, don't fall apart after 5 mins like most horsey-branded boots and you can get them really cheap (just paid €25 for mine from Decathlon, don't know if they have that store where you are?). The ones I've got I also ride in as the sole is fine for riding (although I use my proper boots if I'm schooling).

Yes they are really lovely and warm!
Im normally a size 3 so thats what I ordered, they do come up fairly big! I would of ordered a size smaller but I couldn't (tiny feet!) so I just wear 2 pairs of socks and tighten the lace up bit as much as possible and they're fine like that.
