Best/Cheapest place to buy mag ox

Anyone know of anywhere I can get largish (2/3kg) bags of magnesium oxide?

I buy from pro-earth on ebay, a 900g bag lasts one horse for ages

Equimins is the cheapest I have found, but you need to email them for their insulin resistant price list as it isn't on their website. They sell it in 3kg bags - much better as a 900g bag doesn't last me long at all (blame the rubbish grazing we have with off the scale calcium!).

I got this one but my boy wouldn't eat it and turned the feed green! We tried it and had a disgusting after taste Sailor however lovves barefoot basics magox so would be my best bet from now on

Hmmmm that's not good, fortunately it's never made my horse's feed green

Nah it was prob a duff batch but the after taste was enough to put me off for life! We now get it from the supplier that supplies barefoot basics

Whoops!! I did mean 900g!! Ha ha!

I have 2 and fairly crappy grasing but I suppose sense would tell me to buy a small bag first. Knowing my 2 I would shell out on a big bag then neither would eat it!!

Magnesium oxide. It's a white powder, which you add to feed. It's good as a calmer and also used by a lot of people who have barefoot or laminitic horses. I'm not sure exactly how it works for the feet, but I use it anyway.
