I was using an EquiAmi which certainly improved my horse's canter. I used it according to directions, a couple of times a week for a maximum of 20 minutes, including warm-up and stretch at the end. The only trouble I have is that I have agrass field to lunge in and my horse keeps trying to put his head down to eat.
Also I noticed that he had started to evade the action of the rein as he was moving "shoulder-in" which is his evasion when being ridden to. Still, I will be using it again. The good thing about it is that there is no fixed rein for the horse to lean on, they have to learn to use themselves.
Orangehorse,
Thank you very much for your reply I will investigate your recommend of EquiAmi it is very helpful as I have not had much response to my post so far! Bring back the old forum!!!!
I guess it depends on what you want to achieve on the lunge!
These days I tend to either lunge in a pessoa or double lunge in long lines, however, I also rate a harbridge for lunging in as you can ride in it too. What are you hoping to achieve?
