I currently use the Heineger Xplorers as I do like cordless and i've had these a couple of years but they don't seem to give the best/smoothest clip (i know tension is super hard to get right on these). Last time I did an Irish clip on a fidgety horse and took about an hour with half a head but then my battery was flat when i went to trim his legs the next day! I want to clip him out fully next time and worried these won't be enough and battery wont last and wondering about changing clippers altogether. I prefer cordless as it's easier but not adverse to going back to mains.
I clip my 15.2 4-5 times a winter and his legs/feathers regularly through the summer and then i clip my Dartmoor 2-3 times through the winter so need something that will be enough for this.
Mine has just been serviced and blades sharpened.
