Help I’m so torn! Not that it matters if the trailer is in good condition. But I’m looking for an Ifor Williams HB510 and out of interest wondered what everyone’s favourite colour is? Also what is the difference between the HB510 and the HB510R?

Whatever colour your towing vehicle is. For me it has to be matchy matchy. it does set my teeth on edge slightly when they don’t match. Weird I know!

Think ours is the 505 but we have it in silver. Doesn’t get dirty like you’d think and I’m sure it helps in summer when the sun reflects off the shiny exterior. One day it was mid thirties and we had to travel our horse an hour to the equine hospital - he got off without even a drop of sweat!

Black! Because my car is black... ??‍♀️

the white/grey/silver would get too dirty for me and I’m not really a fan of colours, I’ve seen a red combo and it’s a bit gareish! The blue is okay as it’s quite dark but I don’t like blue cars lol.

At the moment I’m deciding between a royal blue and a burgundy! My car is silver, so would match both. I thought I’d preferred the blue until hubby said the burgundy looks smarter.

I wonder how long it will take someone to cotton on to offering matching paint jobs for trailers to match cars that aren’t grey, black, blue or red ?. And graphics of your choice...

I don't think there's a 'best' colour, it just comes down to personal taste- just go for the one that you like best :)

FWIW, mine is black, and still looks as good as new a couple of years (and many miles) down the line.

I just bought one. I was advised by the salesman that black gets very hot, grey scratches easily (or rather the scratches are very visible) , and coloured ones don't sell on well. Best ones are silver as they don't get too hot, scratches aren't as visible and they are easy to sell on.

My 14yo silver Ifor 510, owned from new, still looks really good.

Don‘t have a silver tow car, mind, but I reckon the silver matches most colours.

I do like the red ones, actually, but that would be a proper colour clash with current metallic brown 4x4 .

Tbh I wanted the red as its lovely , but the chap selling them said coloured ones can be harder to sell on. My trailer and car don't match either. Ho hum. I guess there are worse problems to have ?

I have a 12 year old black 511. I gave it a good clean last week and noticed that it is starting to fade where it's parked in full sun. With this in mind I'd say silver is probably the best colour as I expect the red and blue will also fade eventually.

This is why I like the 505/510 rather than the 506/511. The white roof definitely seems to keep them cooler. Mine is blue, car is dark grey and they look quite good together, I think.
