What colour tack would best suit the above, I think black. He's only young yet but would like to do local showing etc.
Also, what colour saddle cloths rugs etc.
Thanks

I use a very dark brown on mine. There was a short-lived experiment involving tan tack that I don't like to talk about *shudder*. The brown (havana?) is also more 'correct' for showing than black.

As for saddlecloths, blues and greens look best. I've got ones ranging from navy blue to bright ice blue, and dark green to lime green and they all look really good :). The Euro Star waterfall in particular seems to suit my ginge. You'll probably want a white square for competing too.

Rug colour doesn't matter so much as they all end up an attractive mud and poo mix colour after a while. There's a few lime green turnout rugs on eBay at the moment if you're that way inclined though ;).

Mine has a mix. His leather headcollar is black, his in-hand arab halter is brown (a bit paler than havana) and his bridle (a cast off from one of the others) is chocco brown. I will be getting a black bridle for him soon. I have toyed with bright colours as you can get endurance tack in pretty much every colour or colour combination, but I'm sticking to black. My non flaxen but pretty much orange mare has black tack too.

This was him wearing a saddle for the second time ever. It's black, as are all my saddles.

I don't have a photo of him in his bridle, but this is CM in a havana headcollar.

I have havana on my flaxen chestnut, black looked too harsh I think.
Also green/blue saddle pads look best as MyDogIsAnIdiot (nice name!!) else said, that can range from navy to sky blue and hunter green to a lighter shade.
Red tends to clash a bit but it depends on the shade, I have a red rug that doesn't look so bad.
And if you have white boots/saddlepad on any horse who has white markings it always makes the markings stand out (as long as they're clean!)

Havana!! I have Havana show and black jump. Havana looks great especially with brown and cream saddle cloth. Blues look good too
