I have a chocolate/buckskin gelding 15hh. He's quite dark brown at the moment with a bit of "yellow" in winter he's more yellowy/cream than brown. What colour browband and numnah? Also hacking jacket shirt and stock for me:)

For riding horse classes you need a discrete brown numnah, you should wear a shirt and tie not stock with the tweed, green tweed would look smart with a navy based tie to match your hat.
Browbands can be anything that takes your fancy but a turquoise or green is smart on buckskins, I would probably have navy, white and green with a little gold trimming, get a tie with some green in it and the whole picture would gel without looking too matchy.

Green tweed, navy hat and either a blue or green browband to tone in with your jacket and hat. I think that brown tweed would give a very brown picture. You should wear a shirt and tie, the tie can match a colour in the browband.

I like the green and blue/turquoise idea. Was considering burgundy and gold browband but I think your ideas pull the whole thing together better.

I have a buckskin tobiano (whose colour is quite pale- I realise not the same shade as your chap) and I have an olive Caldene tweed which I wear with a bottle green tie (with gold spots). I also have a golden buckskin and I wear a caramel tweed with him (or I did, back in the day when we used to get out and about more). ;)

Keeping to the green theme; a friend of mine shows in a dark green tweed, gold and bottle browband and green hat (though I realise that's technically incorrect- she only does little locals and the odd small county). I have to say, it does look really nice. I'm also incorrect as my hat is brown!

i like my boy in burgundy
