best cooler for a donkey

I am having to wash / bath my donkey 2 -3 times a week and because donkeys have such a small chest The one I use is too big and falls under her shoulders.

She wears 4.9, I use a dinky rug nz but cooler i need one i can trust to fit her properly to put on after the bath.

any tips from donkey owners?

Not specific to donkeys but I have a very narrow fronted welshie and had a towelling hoodie made to measure by Pint Size Ponywear which is very good so they may be able to help

Also I have a weatherbeeta fleece that fits the pony very snugly

Why are you having to bath her that much? Has she got a skin condition?
Mine is a mini donk her rug is only 4ft but still quite big around the front. Sorry not much help

I bought one with the right length from wither to tail and put big tucks in the neck at the point of shoulderish area.

We have a fine 11.1 & have the same problem with certain brands. We have a 4'6 cuddly ponies fleece, & a 4'9 shires. After a bath we usually stick a towel round her neck & the shires fleece over. It's far too deep for her but after a bath ideal cos it drys tops of legs too. Got given an old-fashioned mesh sweat rug in 4'9, I plan to adjust the chest strap for use underneath. Alternatively, buy whichever cooler you want & move the chest straps so the rug overlaps at the front. We did that with most rugs when she was a youngster & even narrower.
