Best cooler rug?

I'm looking for a decent cooler for daily use after washing a hot, steaming, sweaty horse down. I've looked at a Thermatex but wondered if there was anything a bit lighter and cheaper, but though enough to last for daily use.

The best one I ever had was a Bucas Coolex. It wicked, washed and wore well. No wonder someone pinched it

In terms of value for money, I find the Weatherbeeta polar fleeces are very good. My mare is particularly sweaty and needs washing down after every ride even when she is hunter clipped, so I use my fleece at least 3 times a week, wash it regularly (in secret when OH is out so he doesn't see me putting sweaty smelly rugs in the washing machine, lol), and it has lasted 3 years so far, and still counting as it fluffs up good as new. It wicks sweat away quickly so is good for travelling, and is cosy enough to use as a lightweight stable rug. I have a slightly scruffier one which I bought around 7 years ago that I use as an extra layer under rugs when it is particularly chilly. x

I like comfort zone fleeces. Wash up well and very thick warm rugs that wick away moisture well.

thermatex are the best imo, they do a lighter weight one now as well which I have and it's great
