I want a decent cooler for my horse, and the fleece he has got is rubbish.

I was thinking about a mark todd coolex one, but not sure how good they are.

ive got the mark tood coolex i use to travel Archie in. IMO its too heavy for the summer as its quite thick.

For stable coolers i use the weatherbeeta fleece ones which are fantastic, they dry my two off in now time and are great value for money.

This months copy of Your Horse has loads tried and tested - might be worth having a gander at the mag.

Ive got a thermatex as my colours are quite unusual and they will make to order but I also find its too hot for travelling in the summer.

As others have said the Coolex will most likely to too warm for the summer. At this time of year I find the Weatherbeeta or Premier Equine fleeces a good weight. If you do want a warmer type fleece cooler have look at the Tesco double quilted fleece. Works as well as Thermatex/Coolex and keeps the horse lovely and warm. Tesco were selling them off at £8.70 each last week!

I have a Thermatex for winter (the Mark Todd Coolex is basically the same weight), two Weatherbeeta fleeces which are fab for in-between-y autumn/spring, and a CoolMasta for summer which is basically a sheet. All are really good (apart from that Masta rugs don't fit my horse!)
