Hi

What country boots do you have? I have a pair of Dublin River Boots but the lining has pretty much had it which I am gutted about as they are still in such good condition on the outside :(

So, what fairly priced (£100 ish) boots do you have or recommend? Not just for yard use, also walking, days out etc.
I would love a pair of Dubarry but they are a little pricey!

The best are Dubarry and look after them but for £100 range Cabotswood all the way they are waterproof not just claimed to be like so many pretending makes.

Tuffa Suffolk boots all the way! They really are waterproof and have the best and warmest linings, none of that nasty nylon stuff that tears
Check out their website as they often have good deals on. If ordering, go down a foot size.

I have had dubarry galways for 4 years and they are still going strong (I ashamed to say I haven't looked after them very well)

I have just got a pair of kanyon ash boots though (I have chunky legs) and I'm really happy with them

- got them for £134 from uttings - really comfy and warm

I had dubarrys.... Didnt really rate them, dont get me wrong they are gorgous boots but for the money i wasnt impressed.... Much happier with my ariat grasmeres!

Kanyon Ash for me too - proper waterproof lined boots, so many are just waterproof in the foot, or water "resistant"
Got mine from Dragonfly Saddlery

Too expensive for boots that are Made in China and so are Ariat. As far as I'm concerned they aren't the real thing either. It's really hard to find made in UK or European. I have some Chris Brasher Boots they are excellent and water proof but I thing they're even Chinese now.

I love my Dubarrys mine are 5 years old and still going very strong and I too have not looked after mine very well but they still plow on, fully waterproof (were in waterbutts today braking ice and sqashing snow!!) and still scrub up well with a bit of polish!

I used this site for looking at options as I too was looking at dubarry ones but couldn't bear to pay that much... I went to try them on today but as I have wide calves the standard ones just didn't fit and they only did the extra wide ones only came in the walnut brown which wasn't so keen on. Tried the Kanyon ones instead and I have to say I loved them!!! Bought them and worn this afternoon to walk the dog in awful weather. So comfy and warm and really pleased with my purchase especially as they were £139 instead of £299!!! Bonus!! Feel excellent quality, maybe even more so than the Dubarry!!!

My kanyon country boots have been brilliant through this bad weather, very comfy.

I have Dubarrys and Musto but the Kanyon boots are my favourite.

My daughter has just won a pair of Kanyon Gorse boots. Absolutely love them so saving up for some for myself! Mind you I can't beat my Hi-tec Hiking boots for comfort and - hiking! Not ideal for deep mud but mine are worn all day everyday as I work in them aswell. Only about £35 and my last pair lasted 8 years!

I have a pair of 4 YO dubarry's which I didn't take good care of and so now are sadly leaking, but I believe they can be repaired by Dubarry, so exploring that...

however, tried on a pair of mark Todd winter riding boots in my local tack shop this weekend and they were LUSH. Fur lined, proper heel, stud rests and so so lovely to look at!

also seen a pair if ariat windermeres that I liked the look of recently! both the MTs and the ariats were <£150 I think.

I bought a pair of the Mark Todd fur lined boots a couple of years ago, absolutely loved them, so comfy and warm but they weren't 100% waterproof and stained where they got wet, plus the zips were knackered beyond repair in less than a year :( So I went for the Ariat grassmere boots for riding in, completely waterproof and still going strong 2 winters later, definitely worth the extra bit of money.
