Best Courier for saddle?

When I was looking to post a saddle Weezy suggested MyHermes. Was good but I think the dimensions they accept arent' big enough. I used parcelforce but it was expensive (£25) but at least included insurance.

let me know who you go with.

ive always gone via the normal post office route, an wintec costs around 15 quid to post.. its normally done more on dimessions of the box rather than weight. insurancew will add more to it.

Ditto Royal Mail, it was very straight forward and they were very helpful when I took one in to post. :)

I've sold about four saddles now. I have used parcel2go each time for about £7 - £10. They collect at a specified time and the saddles have received by the buyers within 2 days. Excellent service.

Parcel2go.com are very good and very reasonable price wise, this is who I use too.

Collectmyparcel - they're very good, £8.75 last time I used them. Get a big box like a TV box or crisp box from the corner shop ;)

Avoid Parcel Monkey: they're pathetic, I cancelled my pick-up with them because they just didn't collect the parcel! They contract out to other courier services - and you can't contact them direct, which is useless. The courier contracted to pick up my parcel was City Link, they were useless too......... you couldn't get in contact with anyone and when you did they'd pass the buck back to Parcel Monkey, who said it wasn't their problem. Have a read of their customer feedback comments if you're thinking of using them - a bit like Easyjet - so bad that you wonder why on earth people use them!

I would Google a courier local to where the saddle is, try and find a small-sounding one, they all feed into the big networks. Friendlier service in my experience. Will the seller box it?

Ive used Direct Courier Service twice recently. I checked lots but the value insured was low and I needed £600, it cost £21 with up to a £1000 insurance. Hermes was £200 insurance but much cheaper, Parcelforce over £50 to send!! I got a massive box and padded it out with a couple of pillows.
