I’ve just got a Reolink go and wondering what the best data only SIM cards are? Im
With EE and never have issues in the yard. But wondering if people have experience of the less common networks that do sim only data. Also, how much data will I need? I’m on the yard all day so will only be logging into the app on an evening if that makes a difference to the usage? Clueless 😂

I suggest you find out which operator has the best coverage at your yard first. Re the amount of data, do not be conned into an all you can eat or massive plan. If it is the basic Geolink then 1gb a month should be enough. Smarty does 2gb for £5 a month and runs on 3, which does a network share with EE, so that should work.

Depends on the signal in your area. Giff gaff are pretty good and cheap

PS did you mean to post this in breeding?
Thank you! Yes, I did mean to post this in breeding. Presumed that the people most likely to be using data to check on horses of an evening would be those with expectant mares :)

The important thing is to check you will have sim/phone signal, unfortunately the donkeys are at the bottom of a hill so i was very limited in my choice of available networks.
I have unlimited data with iD mobile sim, but it is expensive at £15 a month, at least i can use it as much as i want and it won't cost any more. I am also looking to 'piggy back' another camera on the system in the summer.

Thank you, will have decent signal coverage with EE so fingers crossed 🤞

After lots of research I’ve ended up at my local Asda 😂 free PAYG sim topped up with £10 for 5gb data. Powered by Vodafone so will work with Riolink. Nice little app to show usage for instant top ups. Happy foal watching to everyone - tis the season ☺️
