What is the best disinfectant for getting rid of the smell of dog pee outdoors? Dog always goes right outside the back door, I use Jeyes at the moment but the smell of that is almost as bad !

there's a good PaH one, blue-cant remember what its called though. smells quite nice and doesn't entice them to pee in same place.

We used that with the stinky spaniel, it was good. I can't remember what it was called either. Then we got some lemon scented stuff from Amazon which was fine, too. Jeyes is gross!

Jeyes reminds me of childhood. I was taught very early on if I was fit to put it in one end of the dog I was fit to clean it up at the other. Two buckets of Jeyes fluid, one for the poo and another for the shovels (which eventually disintegrated!!) and then the kennels got sluiced every week and the buckets went down the manhole in the yard while someone flushed the toilet every couple of minutes. The days before poo bags!
Sorry, no help whatsoever, just a nostalgia trip, although I do use the Zoflora pet friendly disinfectant.

I seem to be able to smell it everywhere at home at present. I will try the Pets at Home stuff. Otherwise I will stuff Vicks up my nose !

I love the smell of Jeyes fluid but try not to use too much disinfectant in the kennels, I use sawdust on the concrete floor so I can sweep up and it dries quickly. All disinfectant is corrosive to some extent and I don't like the walking around in it.
Does not answer your question though. I used to have a watering can full of water and wash down where the dog peed straightaway and I found that meant I rarely had to disinfect.
