Beastie needs a new coat

but I don't know where to look. The local Pets at Home selection is cr*p and nowhere else seels them. I want a light fleece one for the cool evenings, but also a lined waterproof one for walking in the rain or when it's colder. Anyone have any ideas? Also, how do you measure a dog for a coat? Is it from the chest back or the back of the neck?

Thanks

Not sure if you can get them in the UK, Gina (maybe ebay?) but Fido Fleeces are brilliant. Some of the designs are a bit grim (Furberry and leopard print

) but the material is so soft and incredibly warm.

I just bought Stella the plain red one...

Fido Fleece

For measurements, you go from the base of the neck to the tail...

If you feel like splashing out, Stella will be most jealous if Beastie gets one of the following:

Wagwear Quilted Waterproof Vest

Wagwear Raincoat with Removable Quilted Lining

Try http://www.4dobbin.com/category.aspx?l1c...name=Dog%20Rugs - they have a great selection.

I think you normally measure from the back of the neck to the base of the tail.

Mu JRT has a Theramtex wool one for in the house (as it is very cold) and a Weatherbeeta waterproof one for outside. I find that the ones that are made by horse rug manufacturers are 100 times more hardwearing and fit much better than those sold in pet shops.

My girls currently wear the weatherbeeta Landa waterproof dog rug and the WB Jasper dog rug. Both rugs fit nicely and keep them snug and warm.

Ive just ordered a couple of these for the winter for the girls though as they look a lot more contoured than some of the other rugs ive seen for sale and will also keep them warm and dry when out in wet conditions. Will let you know how they fit when i get them.

Hope this helps!!
