Looking for a fly mask that has :
1) white/ grey/ pale mesh eyes
2) good eye clearance that won’t rub eyes/ lashes

I like the beekeeper style masks for clearing the eyes. Friend likes the lycra ones with bug eyes but I’d worry that they’d twist over the eyes if they tried to get it off or when rolling.

I find the Shires deluxe fly masks really good for my old boy who has 'bug eyes' so needs good eye clearance (& has a pink nose so need something that covers that too)

I have recently bought a few Masta ones from Harry Hall and am really pleased with them. The pony I'm looking after has slightly Chihuahua style eyes and the small masks i had seemed too close but these ones are really quite nice. I did try and grab a few more recently though and there are only a few sizes left in each style.

I also bought, for the first time in years, used to be my go to, an Equilibrium field max? (the one with ears and nose) it appears to have absolutely no eye clearance at all. Really disapointed and would no longer recommend them.

I have a couple from Kramer and a Harrison Howard mask that gives plenty of clearance. I used a lycra mask from Shires, and the quality was terrible and it did spin round, causing permanent damage to my horse's eye. I also bought an Equilibrium mask, having had one several years ago, and was disappointed at the lack of eye room. It also rubbed.

The HH one is the best so far, and has lasted for years.

Harrison Howard ones are fab and really good quality too.
I bought a few years ago when they first came out and they were awful, fell to bits really quickly.
Then someone recently asked me to put masks on for them and handed me a few. I thought how nice they were and was really surprised to see they were Harrison Howard, they have obviously upped the quality significantly!
