I am looking to buy a pair of Pikeur (or possible Cavallo) full seat breeches. As the local tack shops dont stock them I need to go online so cannot feel the different fabrics for myself.

Can anyone recommend what fabric to go for? Looking for something soft and reasonably warm. Much appreciated! (also anyone know the cheapest online shop for them.....??

I have Pikeur Laguna (sp) which I have always loved. But I am much more of a Cavallo girl and live and die in them when not in my RTS - which I equally adore.

Which would you say are the best? Cavallo's? Was looking at the chagall's and again they have a million fabrics to choose from! And also do you know what material ur pikeurs are?

I have to say I have found my Cavallo's more durable. I'm at work at the moment so not sure what the fabric is - but I will PM you later as to what they are. I know I have two different kinds though - both just as good

I have the Pikeur Lugana, and the exterior fabric is some sort of special weather-resistant stuff. The inside is fleece. I love them; they are super-warm, and stay dry in everything but a torrential downpour. The outside feels very smooth and slick (not the seat! They are nice and sticky to ride in), and the inside is very soft.

The fabric is "Soft Shell WB400"

The tag says that the composition of the exterior fabric is:
49% polyester
30% polyamide
12% polyurethane
9% elasthane
