I'm looking for advice on what's the best feed and supplements to give my 4 yo mare cob x
Does she need supplements? Or should she just be getting all nutrition etc from her feed? If so what is the best feed to give her?
Thanks

As a general rule, avoid sugar and molasses. Read the ingredients lists. I avoid alfalfa too but not everyone does. Then add in a general good quality supplement (if you don't want to get hay/grass analysed).

I'd say, the same as all horses.
Lots of hay, a fibre feed and a good all round supplement.
So unlimited hay, Ready mash green and pro balance.

I am puzzled how feeding advice can be given without knowledge of the horse. I have 2 young cob crosses with totally differing feed needs, ie, one would be off it's legs with adlib hay and ready mash and the other one would be off it's head with the majority of bagged feeds.

Fibre is the base of what every horse needs, it shouldn't be limited, slowed down maybe but not restricted.
The fibre feed i use is ready mash green, so low in sugar and starch.
The linseed is to add condition, good for coat and hoof health and is good for all horses, the amount given dependent on the horse.
The all round supplement for all the vitamins and minerals the horse needs.
Then extra can be added if needed and adjusted to the horse.

I wasnt saying all horse are the same but the basics need before adjusting are.
