I want to order some jodhpurs online but was wondering if anyone here could recommend which were the the best fitting. In other trousers, I'm a size 12 and Laura Ashley seem to have the best cut and fit so do any of you know which jodhpurs match that kind of size the best please?

Thanks for your help!

depends on what you want them for?
I have 2 pairs of the musto snug jods for everyday stuff, and 3 pairs of caldene begrade breeches for hunting/eventing.

musto are lovely and warm in the winter, but cool enough that I wore them trekking in spain in 32deg last summer.
caldenes are smart and durable but really comfy for long days in the saddle!

I also wear Caldene Belgrade breeches and agree they are very comfortable etc. However you might need to order a larger size than you expect - I am usually a size 8 but wear 26" waist in these breeches.

Thanks for the suggestions - it's really helped - 'slimming' and 'comfortable' has given me hope!

In my experience the only thing to do is to brave going a large tack shop where you can try on loads of different makes. Once you've found one that's a good fit, you can safely order on line for the rest of time.

I've gotta pair of Caldene Belgrade breeches (the one's with the sticky-bum seat) BUT on a long ride I found, err, um, that the seam up the centre of the seat was a tad, err, uncomfortable (ladies you know what I mean). So whilst they're fine for a flip round the block, I wouldn't wear them for anything more than an hour's ride. A pity.

I'm a classic size 34 and find that Harry Hall always fits, plus lasts and washes well.

Also Mark Todd, although the breeches with the Clarino seat were far too small and tight, so I have the ones that are made of fabric throughout and they're super for summer riding.

I really struggle tho' to find a pair of nice warm winter joddies! By golly my bits get cold. Does anyone have any ideas?

It depends on what shape you are. I love love love my Pikeur ones, they have been on the go for almost three years and are in great nik and a great fit.

I found the Caldene Belgrade ones with the Clarino seat didn't last at all and very quickly got a hole in the crotch.
