My daughters section A is an old lady with cushings and her eyes are set a bit far back and protrude rather. So far, the fly mask she came with, (Bloomin Ponies), the expensive Equilibrium one and the shires one all inhibit her eyes. The shires is the best of the 3 but still not great.

Any recommendations for masks that really sit away from the eyes please. I feel really mean putting one on her in the mornings at the moment!

I can't remember the brand off the top of my head, but you can buy specialist flymasks for horses who suffer from uvitis. They have solid disks that mount on over the eyes and would be very good for protruding eyes. They do look bizarre! They are expensive as I seem to remember as they completely block uv rays, but could be a good solution if other fly masks don't work. I'll have a quick google to see if I can find the company.

ETA: found it! As I said, very expensive so hopefully you will find a cheaper solution.

Brilliant, thank you guys.

Apercrumbie, thank you for finding them, a last resort due to price but definitely worth knowing about if all else fails!

Off to buy a Rambo one from ebay.

If it isn't too late... the Roma stretch eye saver is really good. My lad has eyes set a little more to the side than forward and has massively long eyelashes (he has been known to get them caught in his bridle gluing one eye shut!) The eye saver stands really proud and even his best efforts to squish it flat have not (so far..) worked. It fits really close to the head too so is also more difficult for his field mate to pull off!
