looking for a fly rug, preferably mesh to keep my cob cool this summer. He’s got a black coat so really feels the heat and our field lacks shelter. He’s well built with big shoulders so need something roomy with shoulder pleats really! What is everyone using?

Boetts are your best anti fly / midge rugs, and they even use them in the Middle East.
I’m always a bit dubious about their claim to also act as ‘sunshades’, but you can buy them in white / pale, so a chance of reflecting heat back. Perhaps just using Boett bodies without belly pieces, if you don’t have a problem with insects?

Big horse shop are great, roomy and well made.

I also like le mieux sweetitch rugs, they have very generous belly wrap which is needed for small cob towards the end of summer.
