Best fly spray?

Car Day and Martin Extra strength fly guard, contains Pyrethrin and Deet. My boy suffers with sweet itch and although it doesnt fix the problem, last year it wasnt as bad, and other horses were noticeably more interesting to fly's, and it sprays upside down for those hard to reach areas!

Tri Tec. It's not licensed for use on horses in the UK as such (I think it is in other countries they just haven't applied here or hadn't last summer anyway) but it's super strong, only needs applying about every 4 days and doesn't smell horrid. My very sensitive TB is fine with it.

Power phaser gel for the face and Tri Tec everywhere else. Horse Health sell Tri Tec now it's licensed in the UK but via US Amazon was best value for money last year even with shipping.

Another vote for power phaser! I don't use the spray however but the gel that comes in the tub with the sponge.

I also used the NAF little bug tag things, one on his fly mask and one on the bridle think they made aome difference

Make my own with citronella oil from health food store. Get a water spray bottle fill with water add a few drops of oil until you can smell it in the water and there you go. Cheap and works. Citronella is in the Avon skin so soft that's why it works. Some horses are allergic to citronella so always skin test first.
