I have a year old collie x German Shepard and a 4 month old lab x cocker. Both fed on skinners puppy food, but both are fussy and won't eat breakfast. They had beta puppy beforehand and picked at that too. I feed the older one puppy food as she can be difficult to keep weight on.
Any advice, much appreciated.

The worst thing to do is chop and change foods as they get fussy when this is done as they learn they will get something else. stick with the food ur on. Have set meal times, put the food down for ten mins or so then take away. dont give any treats or other food in between meals. if the dogs dont eat one meal, tough, they will have to wait till the next time you feed them. my dog was fussy as a pup and often went a day where she wouldnt eat but i didnt give in and she learnt after a few weeks that if she didnt eat it when it was given to her she would go hungry. shes now nearly 7 and a good eater :-) hope this helps

Do you feed then together? I have always found the element of competition makes for clean dishes!!! Or do you leave their food available for them to pick at? If so, change to numerous small meals in a day totalling their required intake, anything up to 10. Put one meal down, wait 20 seconds, and then pick it up and put it away. Same with the next meal and the next etc. Pretty soon they will have cottoned on to the "use it or lose it" idea and realised it won't still be there later. They have up to 10 chances in a day - their choice, not yours if they get hungry. Has always worked IME, including behaviour consultations for dogs who won't eat.

Mix and match if you can - tastes are formed early and one reason the food companies are so keen to sell you puppy food is that they are developing the taste for their adult food for life

Yes both fed in the same room. Will stick to the skinners and leave the food down for the time suggested. Thanks for your replies.
