So have the newest edition to the household coming home in the next few weeks. He is very small being a cross between griffon and Prague ratter. Lucy is other end of the spectrum on skinners muesli which is going to be far too large for pup 🤣

So looking at the best foods for small breeds, will come with current food from breeder to slowly change over from, I think it's currently purina he's on, haven't really looked into the quality of it myself yet but I'm more used to the other end of the size spectrum (pipsqueak was on struvite food from vets so no research needed as his options were limited)

Thanks 😊

Orijen is generally highly regarded, we've used it for years for adult dogs, and they do a small breed puppy kibble. Is it a kibble that you're after?

Purina Pro Plan Mini Sensitive Skin (Salmon) is what oursmall breed pups were on. Great coats and they never turned down the kibble.

I feed skinners. I’ve got a Jack Russell, and she’s been fed it from the start. Recently moved her from puppy to junior. She eats it well, I like the % of actual meat in it. I’ve also always found their helpline really good, easy to speak to actual people for advice.

That means lots more photos 😀😀. If you look on AADF you can find raw in kibble form which might be ok for him. I used Wolfworthy for my small terrier from puppyhood to 2 years , I chose it because she was the runt of the litter and very weak so I wanted the best food possible, I found it really good but when my lurcher came he found it too rich which showed in runny poo ,so I changed to burgess sensitive for him and eventually changed all 3 to it because it was a pain having different foods around.. my terrier was very small and ate it ok

This is what Daisy is on (adult small kibble). I originally bought it for Jack because I wanted him on a really high value food. Both dogs (did) do very well on it.
