Best foot supplements for foot growth

I would like to put Dexter on a supplement for his feet. They arent brittle or cracked they are good condition they just dont grow much at all! And what with this hole the quicker it grows out the quicker I can start riding!

I think mum has bought some formula 4 feet today, is that any good?

I had heard it is better then farriers formula

Maiden has been on Formula 4 Feet for a couple of months now, and I can really see a difference in the top of her hoof. It looks a lot smoother and almost shinier than the rest, and her feet (usually slow-growing) are growing nicely. The other thing I found worked well was bog-standard NAF biotin. I also occasionally use Cornucrescine ointment (but being out 24/7 makes it harder to get onto muddy hooves so I don't bother too often!)

I used formula 4 feet with great results - have just started a pony on it who has truly cr*p feet so hopefully it'll do the job nicely!

I'm buying some F4F seen as everyone has recomended it, so if you want to join me on the experiment and take some before...during and after snaps of our horses feet let me know, I'm getting some this weekend.

I did mention about suppliments to my farrier the other day and he said nothing just good a good diet, there is nothing you can put on them to help the growth its just comes from within...so looks like F4F seems a reasonable way to go.

Supplements can work well on one horse, and not very well on another, so you just have to try it really. For me, a biotin compound worked better than anything else.

Ive asked loads of vets and farriers this for an all-round opinion as wanted to get somehting good! They all say either plain biotin, or formular for feet - nothing else!! I'd jsut try that! good luck.

I used to use Feedmark's Hardy Hood for my mare - and that made a huge difference to her feet. She was similar that her feet weren't in awful condition, but they just never grew that much.
