what does everyone wear in the summer heat when riding?

I normally wear mountain riders but in this heat my feet get really hot. Any suggestions for a cooler option?

Also how about jodphurs? which are good at keeping you somewhat cooler than the instant sweat I have when i put mine on?

cheers guys :-)

I just wear my regular short boots and gaiters or short chaps. My Eurostar breeches keep me nice and cool, you can also get some breeches which have thin material for summer, but tbh I absolutely hate them.

cotton jods are good as they breathe better than synthetic ones such as polyester.

I dont think there is an alternative to the footwear problem.

I have equitector boots with climate control, i have the short ones but they have a tin foil type lining and my feet never get hot or cold and i wear them all year long. Love them!!

ariat terrain boots. So light and really really comfortable and cool. Short chaps and riding EQ tight things - not as foul as they sound but are really thin stretchy cotton/lycra mix. Haven't bagged at the knees and even after 4 years are still in one piece though faded. Ifyou get caught in a rainstorm they dry quickly!
