Basically I just want a general vit and min supplement for my horse as she's on poor grazing due to being a fattie, and ditto hard feed. I am thinking either NAF Slimline or one of the rockies licks-she already has a salt lick in her field so I'm not sure what's best...
Thanks!

Another vote for Baileys LoCal. Brilliant stuff. My occasionally porky cob is on it. Some supplements taste and smell revolting - Sunny wouldn't eat D&H Daily Vits and Mins and I don't blame him! It looked and smelt like year-old sweepings from the floor of a factory making fertiliser. I chucked the whole tub out. Baileys LoCal is little pellets and you can smell the yeast in them. Sunny would eat them straight from my hand if given the choice. Good value, no waste, does exactly what it says on the tin.

Another vote for Lo Cal, brilliant stuff, I have my three girls on it and they all look fantastic..... Not expensive, easy to feed and the horses love it.....

If you have a fat pony and you want to have the right supplements to guard against laminitis, you coule try Forumla4Feet. It provides all their general daily vitamins and minerals but especially provides support for laminitis prone animals. My pony has it because I worry about him and my horse had it for hoof growth.

I feed the baileys Lo cal balancer to mine. Has everything you need except extra calories! It isnt too expensive, around £20 a bag but you only need to fed a mug or two a day depending on horse size, great stuff!

I feed my mares companion pony feedmarks Slimaid. It contains all the vitamins and minerals that he needs in a pellet form. It comes in a 2.5kg tub and is £30. My pony only needs 20g a day which is 1/2 a scoop. It lasts him 6 months so is great. The dose range for a 400-600kg horse is 40g per day so tub lasts 2 months so £15 a month is really good valus. Look on their website, they often have special offers on and reduced next day postage.

Is it good for a pony that has just been diagnosed borderline Cushings and is currently experiencing low grade form of laminitis?

One of mine had trauma induced laminitis last year, we changed her feed to this as the vet still wanted her to have all vits and mins, ended up changing all three of my girls to it, they look fab on, So answer to you question would be YES.........

Top Spec Anti Lam is excellent.

This is the best one I've found for my horse with hoof problems. If laminitis of foot problems aren't an issue then their Lite balancer is also good & is what I use for my fattie with good feet.

Another vote for Baileys Lo Cal - my older boy looks great on it and most important it hides his daily Bute really well in just one mug, he licks his feed bowl dry - he can suss Bute out in a good scoop of chaff and mix and a general vit/mins supplement and so the Lo Cal works out cheaper too.
