Best girth for youngster?

Currently he has a stubben string girth as that was what i got given as trainer organised saddle etc for me, he seemed fine with it but lately i am thinking it is nipping him and he is starting to misbehave slightly when trying to do it up, so any suggestions on which girth to try as don't want his saddle to slip as he is a welsh d with no withers so always going to be a problem he has a Thorrowgood saddle?

hi i use a leather gfs girth with sleave on

leather here as well so easy to clean especially when they sweat up. Never use anything else.

I use one of the wide synthetic gel type wintec girths, find they spread the pressure evenly making them comfortable plus easy to rinse off after use!

Might seem like a daft question but are the leather girths suppose to spread the pressure more evenly rather than your bog standard cotton girth
